Disclosure

How this site makes money, in plain language.

Expungio earns money from affiliate commissions. If you click certain links here and then sign up for a service, I may receive a payment. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same whether you use my link or go direct.

What that does and does not buy

It funds the tools I test. It does not buy a rating, a ranking, or a kind word. No company has paid me to write about them, and none has seen a review before it was published.

I recommend the tool I would genuinely use, and where a free option works just as well, I say so and link to it first. Where a tool I recommend has a real downside, that downside is in the review — usually near the top.

Where the links are

Affiliate links appear in reviews and comparisons. Every page containing one carries a visible notice near the top, before the first link — you should never have to guess. Links are also marked rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page code.

Who I have relationships with

This list is kept current. As of August 2026, I have no active affiliate relationships — I have not yet been approved for any programme, and this site has earned $0.

When that changes, the company gets named here, on this page, with the date it started.

The bit that matters

This site’s only asset is that its numbers are real. A commission is worth far less to me than your trust in a price on this page. If you ever find those two things in conflict here, tell me — that is a bug, not a business model.
